You'll Be the Death of Me 🥀

Hello everyone!

Today I bring you a new post about one of the wonderful books by author Karen M. McManus - "You Will Be My Death".

Synopsis:

"Keep your friends close...and your enemies even closer!". Ivy, Mateo and Cal used to be friends. Now, the only thing they have in common is Carlton High and the beginning of a bad day. Ivy lost the Student Council election to the class clown and now feels humiliated by having to face the school.

The gallant Mateo feels drained - he's been holding down two jobs since his family's business went bankrupt.

And outsider Cal eventually falls asleep... again. Arriving on campus late for class, Cal sees Ivy and Mateo together and it seems like the perfect opportunity to turn around a day that had started out bad. The three of them decide to skip class to go into town.

Everything seems to be just like old times, except that they are speechless as soon as they leave the parking lot, because they see another Carlton High student skipping school - and they follow him to the scene of his murder.

In no time at all, the day goes from boring to deadly. And it's about to get worse. But Ivy, Mateo and Cal still have a few things in common. A connection to the dead boy and the three of them are hiding something.

Now, everyone wonders: was the rapprochement between them not a mere fluke after all?"

Opinion:

"You Will Be My Death" is the latest book by author Karen McManus, again I really enjoyed this book.

It's a book that follows the "line" of the covers of the other books, it has 320 pages, keeps the same type of fluid and simple writing of the other books and has as its literary genre young adult.

It's a book that I had a hard time starting, it took me a while to read because in the meantime it was on hold for a while, it was only with me in the car. I really liked the fact that the writer thinks through the actions thoroughly, very carefully, I confess I had no suspicions as to who the first suspect might be much less the second suspect of the letter D.

I highly recommend reading it.
