"An epic story about love, friendship and family.

For too long the magical world and the human world have been divided, although there are people, like Breen, who can travel between the two. The young girl has just returned to Talamh ready to accept her power - and her previously unknown identity. But she is not alone: she has her friend Marco, who is dazzled by this place populated by dragons and fairies, and Keegan, the leader of the magic people, who trained her as a warrior and for whom her desire and admiration continue to grow.

However, the past cannot be forgotten, and so can family ties. The god Odran, Breen's grandfather, is plotting to destroy Talamh - and now everyone will have to unite to defeat his force rising from the darkness. There will be loss and pain, betrayal and slaughter. Can Breen overcome the destruction and walk toward his destiny?"

Opinion:

This is the second and much awaited book (I speak for myself) by Nora Roberts which is the sequel to the book "The Awakening" (for those who haven't read the review you can read it here).

As you know the first book won me over, and I waited anxiously for this book and it arrived through the Publisher Saída de Emergência which I thank them from the bottom of my heart for the offer, because it was a book I really wanted and I just thought I would have to buy it as soon as it became available for sale, because at this moment it can only be purchased from April 13th.

Once again it's a book that doesn't disappoint, it has a beautiful cover which is more focused on the forest because that's where the story takes place - in Ireland and in Talamh - although this cover transmits peace, quiet, calm and light there is also darkness, war and many problems both at heart and in the kingdom to keep the peace. The book has 416 pages, just like the previous book, I read it in two days, because of course this one had to be ahead of all the other books I have to read, and because it is addictive for obvious reasons😅.

The book starts the same way as the other one, giving us a chance to recap the most outstanding events of the first book and give a mental follow up of the story previously read. The characters were kept and others were added, Nora Roberts gave us the opportunity to know each world and each race existing within the fantasy, from fairies, mermaids, trolls, witches, dragons, where all could collaborate together. Once again I was able to get inside the story of the book, imagining the places described, Breen's little house, I felt as if I was inside, the landscapes, the capital was like as I was reading it was happening on film in my mind.

The book is well developed, more focused on Breen's return to Ireland and Talamh, the "big" battle only happened almost at the end of the book, I thought it was too fast, I think the writer could have developed this part a little more, clearly the dark side was underdeveloped, there were no big advances on Odran's part, which I find strange... surely there will be another book talking about new developments and plans on the dark side, but otherwise the book is wonderful!

The light won, but will it win again or will the dark have the upper hand in the next battle between the worlds? ✨

P.S: I hope for a sequel and I read the book listening to this music in order to get more into the story try it and let the fantasy take you
