Synopsis:

"For neuroscientist Bee, love is just a hopelessly unstable neurophysiological incident and the real enemy of human relationships whose neurological underpinnings she explores on a daily basis. As a woman working in science, Bee is an endangered species in a male-dominated world, and so she lives by a very simple code: what would Marie Curie do?

If she were offered the leadership position in a neuroengineering project, Marie would accept without hesitation. Of course! But the mother of modern physics never had to collide with Levi Ward, Bee's longtime academic archenemy who turns her dream into a project nightmare. But when Bee finds herself in a completely irrational romantic situation and needs to put her heart on the line, the only question that really matters is: what will Bee do Königswasser?

Bee will have to choose between doing what must be done, or what her heart commands."

Review:

I don't know if you have seen the previous review that dealt with the first book of the writer, this second book keeps the same idea at the cover level, but with the main characters of the book, has 352 pages, I read the book in the month of March in 2 days, so it is a book that can be read quickly because it follows the same line as the previous book, has as literary genre romance.

This book deals with going from the university to the work world (that passage), finishing the doctorate to create new projects to be admitted in some lab, it also deals with sexual harassment, exchanging favors, and false friendships (that friendship of interest).

The male character is very identical to the character in the first book, I'd almost say they were the same, but no... I calculate that the writer has some "panache" for tall muscular men the size of a pole (1.95cm is what we consider a pole, by the way, that's what I consider a pole 😅), or does she think this kind of character is attractive to readers? I don't know.

The book reads well, the writing is fluid, there were some comical parts, some more violent parts, but honestly it didn't surprise me at all.

P.S: The writer has already released a new book titled "Loathe to Love You", I hope to purchase it, however I will not put any expectations on this book.

6/10🖋
