Synopsis:

"At the end of a day's work, Detective Erika Foster is taking a short walk near her new residence. Suddenly, a horrifying scream echoes in her ears: a woman has just found her sister's corpse. Erika approaches the scene and comes across a young woman brutally murdered: her throat slit and her tongue bent. The message is clear: whoever talks, dies.

Erika is assigned to the case and discovers that it is Vicky Clarke, author of a podcast dedicated to true-crime investigation, who was working on a new episode about a sexual predator in South London who broke into young students' homes in the dead of night.

During the investigation, Erika realizes that the documents, notes and recordings related to this podcast have disappeared, which may indicate that Vicky has probably uncovered incriminating evidence regarding the killer and that it may have cost her her life.

Almost clueless and with many questions, Erika launches into a fight against time to find the killer and prevent him from striking again. However, the case will become even more complicated when she discovers that the body found is not Vicky's after all, but that of a young Bulgarian woman, a medical student, who lived in the same building."

Opinion:

At the outset I want to thank the publisher @almadoslivros for giving me the copy, they helped me complete the collection of Inspector Erika Foster (I think this time this is the last book in the collection right? Correct me if I'm wrong).

I really liked this book, it has a fantastic cover like all the other books previously published, I read the book in 3 days has a fantastic writing, very fluid, in my opinion the writing of this writer never disappoints, because the events are so interesting and so followed without confusion or time breaks that always makes you want to read more, pity is when we finish the book 🤣

It had a complicated story with immense mystery, I didn't suspect who might be the author of the deaths in question, it wasn't something obvious, which hence arises such curiosity.

Eventually I will buy the collection of the Kate Marshall series, but for now I will stick to this because I already have some books to read 😅

I highly recommend reading this book!
